Vintage Bazaar!

Had a lovely morning on Saturday, popped down to Ilkley for a mooch at all the lovely vintage goodies, bought some beautiful vintage glass jugs £2 each bargain!! Got some other little bits and had tea and cake, was lovely!!!

When I'm feeling stuck in a rut or in need for some colour inspiration I often find myself looking at the work of a certain illustrator and designer, Helen Dardik! She is one of my biggest inspirations, I really admire and love her work. She has a very distinctive fun and quirky illustration style. Helen uses the most wonderful colour palette's and quirky characters!! Thought you might like to see some of her lovely surface pattern design, its just gorgeous!!

I recently came across her work through a friend and when i saw her designs I was really excited and wanted to blog about it straight away!! Thoughts for the new year!!

So its January the start of another year!!! Time for a refresh and a chance to think about whats to come!! I found these cards in a little shop in york at the weekend and I thought sometimes you need a good little quote to get through the January blues and look forward to .......PAYDAY!!!

Kate Forrester

This Christmas i fell in love with work of Kate Forrester! Her designs could be seen all over this festive season. I first spotted her designs on the packaging of the Christmas products for Waitrose. Her typography is so distinctive and eye catching . There was also some lovely images done for John Lewis.

Christmas has been and gone!!

Ok I'm back what a manic couple of weeks and now its back to work!!!

Had a lovely Christmas back up in the north east with plenty of snow and then celebrated the new back here in WestYorkshire with a good curry!!
