Liverpool!

So this weekend I went to Liverpool for the first time!! I had to visit the home-land of one of my good friends just to check weather they are all mad there! (and the answer is no, just her!!!) So we did all the touristy things taking in all the sites and had a good shop!!

Rachel Cave!

Quick trip to Ikea!

Had a quick trip to Ikea on Sunday which is always fun when it's raining! There is some lovely new bits and pieces that are new in. I especially love the new art and fabrics, good job it was a quick visit or I would have had no money left!

Last of the big spenders!!

So I went to our nearby big green field on Sunday for the last car boot of the year. I was looking for treasure and found myself drawn to a box labeled 'everything 20p' (my kind of box!!) And I went mad, I spent a whole pound!! Look what I got!! One mans junk is my treasure!!

Abigail Brown

Abigail Brown is a wonderful designer/maker and illustrator. Abigail is mostly known for her imaginative little birds and creatures that she creates. Abigail also makes beautiful little birds in boxes which are my favourite, I also love her little foxes. And when you thought the studio spray booth couldn't get any more exciting guys, say hello to the spray mount fishies!!!! We are so crazy us creative types, well done Collette!!!

Katie Daisy

I love hand-drawn typography and I recently stumbled across some lovely work by an artist called Katie Daisy. I love the colours in her designs they can't help but make you feel happy! I find her work really summery and cheery especially as the weather is so gloomy at the moment here! Her website is a must see you can also buy her work on Etsy.

Train time!

This weekend we took our little Maggie on the Keighley & Worth valley railway from Oxenhope. You can't beat a good steam train!! We stopped at Haworth for tea and cake at a lovely little cafe called Cobbles and clay. They had lovely table cloths, colourful pottery and funky vinyl wall stickers on the walls.

Introducing Ian!

Say hello to Ian Dutton! He is a very talented freelance illustrator/designer specialising in character design. Studio Bake Off!!!

What a turn out!!! Good job i wore my fat pants today and don't think I'll need anything else to eat for a week!! So we have Collette's cream tea, Steve's hedgehog surprise! Helen's scrummy brownies, Natalie's Whoopie pies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! David's very impressive Battenburg porcupine with liquorice moustache! (genius!) Shirley's Sticky Crispy Crunchies! And my Rocky Road!!
Yes no work has been done this morning, there is just to much tasting to do!
Even the leftovers looked good!!!...And the winner is??? Well not surprising Davids porcupine won on imagination and Helen's brownies won the taste test (seriously moreish and gooey thanks to Delia!)
